Vocal events are back!
Updated: Dec 9, 2021
Vocal events are back in full swing - old favourite are re-emerging and some new and exciting opportunities are being introduced!
KS1 Barnaby Bear goes on a fairy tale adventure
Barnaby Bear is back and going on another adventure! Invitations have been sent to all infant and junior schools this week. This will be a one day event this year so book early to avoid disappointment! As always rehearsal tracks and lyrics packs will be available for all participating schools
KS2 My Voice, Our Song
This wellbeing focused project shows how music, particularly singing, can support resilience and wellbeing. The programme will feature a combination of contemporary and well known songs which will be sung with a live band and secondary "on stage" choir. Workshops are available on a first come first served basis, these will explore using music to build resilience as well as introduce and rehearse the songs for the concert. Rehearsal tracks and sheet music will be given to all participating schools via a secure download link
NEW: Vocal Ambassadors:
You may have seen the invite - it's not too late to join! All schools, in all settings (KS1, 2, special and secondary) are being asked to appoint 2 child singing ambassadors who will come to 3 half day training days with our head of vocals and the vocal team. They will learn about the voice, how to warm up and lead warm ups, how to teach a song and also develop skills to take back to school to support singing e.g. running a singing stop in the playground at lunchtime, supporting a teacher with warm ups in assembly or choir rehearsals or even setting up their own student lead high quality singing group.
